Each year we need to raise over $30 million to support our brave volunteers. Every dollar donated pays for training, rescue gear, medical supplies and support for our volunteers. With over 2,000 volunteers around the country handling, on average, 55 call-outs each and every week, that money is simply essential.
We’re Aotearoa New Zealand’s primary maritime search and rescue organisation. We’re also a charity, powered by volunteers, and we rely on the generosity of everyday people like you to support the lifesaving work we do, on and off the water.
The government funds 40% of our operation, but we need to raise the rest, over $30 million each year. There are many ways you can contribute, from making a donation to buying lottery tickets, so find out more below.
