Coastguard is thrilled to announce its partnership with Line 7, a relationship reflecting our shared commitment to promoting safety on the water and supporting our volunteers.
At Coastguard, people are at the heart of all we do, both on and off the water. For us, it’s important to work with like-minded partners who want to make a positive difference to our communities. That's why we are proud to partner with Line 7, a uniquely New Zealand organisation which shares our ambition to give all boaties – from the hardcore yachty to recreational fisho – the ability to make the most of every moment on the water.
Line 7 has been synonymous with industry-leading weather-proof clothing since 1963 and featured on Whitbread around the world yacht race teams, the 2000 NZ Olympic team and the World Match Racing Tour just for starters. As an iconic Kiwi brand, they have seen their fair share of storms over the years like our Coastguard volunteers, but have always had that spirit of adventure, confidence and ability to think differently when the weather gets rough and ride it out.
Acting Head of Marketing & Communications Robyn Rowley said Coastguard volunteers require clothing that’s durable, sustainable and able to handle the toughest marine conditions – everything that Line 7 is known for.
“We're excited to begin this journey with Line 7 as Coastguard's new national uniform supplier – supporting our volunteers to continue carrying out their life-saving work across Aotearoa with confidence and comfort. Like us, Line 7 are for everyone in and around the water,” she said.
Line 7 Brand Manager Dan Clark said Coastguard do an amazing job offering a life-saving service to New Zealanders in and around the water – partnering to support Coastguard volunteers just made sense for Line 7 given its association with water-based activities.
“It's with great pride that we announce the partnership with Coastguard, Line 7 is excited to be able to be a part of the fantastic work all the great volunteers do in their communities across the country,” he said.
