Based at the Kerikeri airfield we cover all areas from Whangarei up to Cape Reinga, coast to coast, providing aerial search and guidance to the rescue vessels.

Since 1997 the Northland Coastguard Air Patrol has been one of only two Coastguard Air Patrol units in the Northern Region.  The other is in Auckland.

Originally formed by pilots of the local Aero Club, our experienced volunteers now come from a variety of aviation related backgrounds and provide vital search techniques and assistance to local Coastguard marine units.

Training - routinely on the first and third Sunday of the month at 0930, at the Kerikeri Airfield, and at other times as necessary.
