Coastguard Bay of Islands started in early 1998. Our first dedicated rescue vessel, Bay Rescue, was launched 12 months later, operating out of the Doves Bay Marina in the Kerikeri Inlet.

We have a core group of dedicated volunteers who are available on 24 hour pager call out. 

Training - Coastguard Bay of Islands holds training every Tuesday 1900hrs at the Mid-North Rescue Centre on Wiroa Road, Kerikeri.
